The exact same thing happened like three weeks ago. While i was getting my headers on they noticed my water pump was leaking and took it to lexus and they fixed it under warranty. They did not even try to blame the headers. I also have an 08. Dont even begin to sweat about it.

The big thing that we uncovered while installing the headers is my leaky water pump, yes it's a 08 IS-F. It should still be covered under powertrain warranty, but my worry is that if I bring it in with the headers installed that the dealer will negate the warranty. What are your thoughts fellow F owners?
Those o2 sensors are a PIA... please keep us posted about the waterpump and warranty w/ the headers.

Wow, is this something that I should be worried about with a new model? And how did you discover the leak? Is a small leak?

Only 2008 models seemed to have this issue.

no you should not have to worry about it

i believe only the early 08 models had this issue and since then they had a new part number for the water pump which probably is revised seals

you will see a pink crust around the water pump area

My dealer (Lexus of Concord) had no issue with bolt on modifications. He said even nitrous was not a concern.

This is good to know... but they'll only replace it free of cost if your car is still under warranty huh?
