You will spend more time on the road than at the shop with a Lexus! Top notch quality and reliability especially for a sports car. Welcome to the ISFamily!

I agree that a 550 is pretty much as top notch as I've ever seen in a BMW product. The M5 has the performance, but comes with the lack of durability. The 550 certainly had great performance, but maintenance on it was fairly limited, even beyond the warranty. That being said, you're going to to enjoy the F. Any mods planned for the future?

Welcome to the family! I made the switch from a Dinan 650i and I don't regret it one bit. It was ridiculous that my 650 was still under warranty, yet the service center would try to make me pay for everything. It was always in the shop and the commissioned service guys are a rip off.

As far as mods go, the one that is hitting my sweet tooth right now is the ISS DES Exhaust. Been checking it out. Sometimes when you perform mods on these types of vehicles, you actually lose power. That was for sure the case on the BMW M's if you didnt choose wisely. When I had the 335, you could really mod the heck out of that thing, and let me tell yah, your gains were incredible. Turbo's have benefits, and then, there are the down sides to them as well.

u won't see the same results for the ISF. this vehicle was built for bolt ons! also we have limited aftermarket parts. I don't think u can go wrong with the DES exhaust. it sounds great IMO . good luck in your decision and welcome to the F club!
