Wish me luck

Go get 'em!

Good luck to you Ryan! There shouldnt be any reason to leave there without a 10 sec timeslip in hand.

Maybe I over shot a bit... Call it 550 then

Ok- I give up. How do you get the axles out of the diff. Got all the bolts out and tried lowering it a bit and prying the axles out, but no luck.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

i broke my axle loose prior to lowering the diff. I use a big flat head and stuck it in between the axle and the diff and pry it out until i feel the lock ring pop. from there i lower it half way down then pull it out..

I'll give it a whirl again. I tried with a pry bar, but I'll give it another shot.

Thanks!

Axles are out, driveshaft is disconnected and I dropped the axleback out of the way, but there doesn't seem to be any way to get the diff out.

What else am I supposed to disconnect? Everything is moving, but there isn't clearance enough to get the axle out of the diff, no matter which way I move it.

im guessing you are doing this with jack stand, if so you will have to jack it up pretty high and from there pull 1 axle out at a time.

It's up pretty high. The axle is hitting the lower control arm so i don't think height is an issue.

Did you disconnect the control arms?

DOH!

I guess I should have looked closer at that. That did the trick. For anyone else who isn't the sharpest at turning wrenches (like me) if you pull off the two plastic triangle pieces (they are held on with two small nuts on each side), you'll see the cross braces.

One axle is out. the other snapped back in when I was fighting with it. I'll have to bolt the thing back up tomorrow, pop the other axle out and finish the swap.

I did my F-Sport sway while I was under there. Of course, that had to fight me as well. I ended up having to pull the end links out completely and clean up the threads before I could get the nuts off. Hopefully, everything will be done tomorrow.

Thanks, again, Obby.

Nice run. 127mph is decent for your power range. How was your 60'?

It had ben raining all day on and off so the rubber on the track sucked.. I ran a 2.01 60ft. I was hitting the speed limiter just before I crossed the line. I think the 4.09 diff is a toss up on high power ifs because it rips threw gears so fast is barely has time to put some power down and I think I hurt my 60 ft cause I was spinning more with the new gearing. I will prob put my stock diff back in the car or try a 3.7 from a gs
