I agree our current one looks wayy better and more unique.

 

seems similar to the progression of amg tips from round to sharp and angular. in any case I just want some changes to the heart of the beast. give me more power!!!

With these tips, it does appear that its one piece, which I would think would be much easier to replace should one happen to find his or her exhaust tip missing. There have been a few cases on CL where owners have needed to replace one exhaust tip, and those aren't cheap. That being said, I've seen how sharp and angular the newer AMG tips are, and frankly I'm not a fan of it.

When I see square exhaust tips it instantly makes me think of cheapola cars that are trying to look more "exotic"

 

If they're gong to copy another style (Acura TL, Mercedes AMG), they may as well copy their own style and go with something like this:
