I think part of the problem is florida, my agent said we are getting raped on insurance and alot of companies are no longer writing policies in florida as well.

rob this is because insurance fraud rates in florida are up almost 20% in the last couple of years, florida sucks for insurance premiums. On the other hand, why dont you find out if the loan holder actually requires 100/300... some dont.

If you get a great price on one you will love it! I would recommend looking for a certified lexus. Mine just saved my *** as I had to have the LCD screen replaced. $2500.00. Yikes! Extended warranty well worth the money.

There's also a cheap fix for this. Sad they replace a $2500 (retail) unit when the screen with touchpad can be had for $400, and the touchpad alone is $10 - $15..

Do you use the LCD often? How many years did it last you? Just wondering, since I will be under factory warranty until April 2013 (I'll reach 4 years before 50k miles)... I have until then to decide about the extended warranty

Coming from a 2011 WRX, 2 super-modded Evo 8's, an 06 STI, and a 350Z previously...with a spotless record AND > 35 years old AND married....my insurance still went up a solid amount moving into the F. I think I went from $1k a year to closer to $2k (but not quite). AND I have a huge deductable.

But your location does matter and So Cal isn't the cheapest place. For my car and her POS 06 Tiberon we pay around $2k a year I think. And that's 90% me.

its a Florida thing, I was able to get my 08 @ 22k miles for 36 and I purchased the extended 4 year warranty from Lexus for an additional $1700 and change. So im at about 38k in on the car. Needed a brake job and a rear bumper and its good as new. There are some minor vibrations but it seems like alot of people are having these. I will be putting dynamat on under the rear seats and on the front doors to help out with that and the exhaust drone.
