Default 2012 IS-F or 2015 RC350 F-sport ?Update : Vehicle purchased

Update :

2012 IS-F purchased
------------------------------------------
Looking to buy one of these...

2012 IS-F or 2015 RC350 F-sport

Have driven both

Any owners that have owned/own both or
any input ?

I'd love the power of the V8 in F
but
thinking the technology in the RC350 may sway me?

As an rcf owner I would say go to isf

That v8 is excellent in isf, rcf, GSF

THe technology will be dated soon

Motor will be around a long time

Do u want a slower 2 door that's hard for passengers to get in and out of or a 4 door beast?

If you want power, get the F. If you want the new car with the tech and 2 doors, get the RC.

From what I'm seeing in the RC-F thread regarding price (as low as 58k), I would pay more and get a RC-F if I wanted a coupe.

In all seriousness it depends what type of ride you're looking for?...
V6 or V8/ 5quarts vs 10quarts oil.
The F is a real thirsty beast when it comes to fuel! Many don't take into account but you're going to get acquainted with the fuel station very quickly. Brakes and tires are a must and depending how you drive, you'll be replacing rears in no time . Also, can you live with slightly older tech? Or you need to be up to date with the latest and greatest? Will you be looking to power mod and expect power gains? All these things you should be asking yourself. One things for sure once you go V8 you can never go back...

F sport is a stuffed bra. F is the REAL F'n DEAL !!!!

110 HP extra and you can let someone eat the depreciation AND the 2012s and up are the best of the breed.

NO BRAINER !!

This may be an oversimplification but if the OP is seriously asking about tech vs power, then I would encourage him to pursue the tech in the RC 350. I don't care if my car is a Wi-Fi hotspot, or if my GPS maps are updated, or if I can receive text messages on the NAV screen, or if the album art shows up when I use Pandora. If these are serious (and equal) considerations for the OP when compared to the V8 sound, rev-matching downshifts, fantastic braking and dynamics, wicked fast shifts, and the power and presence on the road then I believe the capabilities of the IS F might not be of that much interest to them.

We aren't talking 2005 here where CD players didn't play MP3s, bluetooth was a result of poor brushing, and there were no USB or AUX in outlets. The tech in the 2012 is fairly decent and certainly capable. I admit having both tech and power is great and would gladly choose that in a heartbeat if price were no object, but if this is even a question for you then go for the RC 350.

Haha, not only that but with bolt ons and tune on the ISF, make that a +210hp difference!

I have an ISF and the Rc200T. I miss the ISF more than than the RC. Nothing beats a v8.
