Default Need help identifying a mystery plug...

Noticed this plug on the driver side inside the bumper, below the headlights, seems to be coming out from the general vicinity of the fluid reservoirs... we have no idea where it goes, we searched high and low for any open socket that might fit it but nothing we can find. We only noticed it when we were putting the bumper back on.

It doesn't appear as though it was actually connected to anything before... The tip of the plug is too dusty for it to have been plugged into something, but it's odd for a plug to just be there without purpose... We tested all functions of the headlights, headlight washers, foglights to make sure it had nothing to do with those.

Any idea what it's for and what we're supposed to do with it?

Thanks.

Looks like the distance sensor. Our car equipped with an option where it will decelerate at a certain distance (set by you) from the car in front of you while in cruise control. The white plastic piece should plug to your bumper cover.

Park Assist Sensors.. (which is optional eqipment)

I have the same blank plug... and don't have either option..

My car does have headlight washers, and they continued to work as normal without that plug plugged into anything, so it can't be for that.

You mean Adaptive cruise control? Do IS-F's have that feature?

The only thing I can think of maybe it's for optional parking sensors. I know some IS-F's have that right from the dealer, needing those (ugly) nipple-thingys drilled into the front bumper. Could it be for that?

That's what I remember when I go through the owner manual. Someone can correct this?

My IS-F has both ACC and PDC (In fact for the UK the only "option" is Sunroof)
