Default M56 vs IS F

My 08 F arrives tomorrow morning, it's like Xmas and I can't sleep. Anyway, my best friend just got a 2011 Infiniti M56 so no doubt there is gonna be some smack talking and of course racing. I am interested to know everybody's opinion on which car is more of a performer since horsepower is almost the same

No worries djhydro, my buddy lives in Lauderdale and we aren't meeting up till next month so I will have a month to get used to my car and build up the trash talk. He actually drove an F and said the M56 was a better car and bought it

The M56 is around 4000lbs. On paper, you would win, but paper doesn't factor in the driver. If you two are equal behind the wheel you should pull off the win, but t the end of the day, it all comes down to the driver.

yea, no offense to your friend, but he's way off if he thinks his new car is faster, it's heavier and not geared toward racing, more to be "sporty" just numbers alone 4.4s to 60 ISF, and 4.8 seconds to 60 in the M56 should give you an idea. It will be up to you guys to see who wins though, but your car gives your driver a slight edge

I wouldn't worry about him.

Its a very nice car that I'm sure is fast from a stop and a great cruiser.

On paper, the ISF and M56 are very close. Their curb weights are within ~100 pounds of each other, but the M56 has about a 10% torque advantage. In the end, I think it will come down to the driver. Not to discredit the IS-F, but it's annoying to see people assume the IS-F will walk over anything based purely on numbers and not factor in driver skill.
