Prepping car for 1/4 mile runs
I took 2 comparison videos of my acceleration with the TOMS throttle controller turned on and off. Now it's time to do it legally. Would you track heads tell me what I need to do to prep the F for quarter mile runs? I will list some below and you can add some things to the list. I am considering this since I currently have 2 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires with 17K miles on them sitting in the garage and may get the rears and use them as track tires (don't want to switch up brands). Is there a major difference between all-season and summer tires in a qtr-mile? I currently have all-seasons.
- Make sure there is less than 1/4 tank of gas
- take out spare
- remove everything from trunk
- Go to the bathroom
I would think it requires less prepping than actually tracking the car since there are no turns, just straight line runs.

What do you mean mix with 93...that's all the east coast has as far as I know...it is only the west coast that gets stuck with 91 (at least when I lived there 10 years ago).

Take out a couple psi in the rear tires
I heard NOT to go through the water box, drive around it. (the F should hook up ok)
Also, you could use/drain your washer fluid - who needs that stuff anyway?

for competiton:
dont eat a heavy meal or drink sugary drink (energy drinks are a no)
relax and leave when you see the third yellow come on. if you leave on green you will lose
for testing or personal best u can use the same above or leave when u feel comfortable. it is not unusual for people to wait 10seconds to leave in order to get the launch just right but dont sit there for more then 30seconds as you will **** people off. also if you break, blow a hose, ANYTHING PULL OVER IMMEDIATELY i cant stress that enough as the farther u drag the mess the longer it will take to clean the tack
have fun

What are you expecting to find?
The throttle controller won't allow the car to make any more power so I am not completely sure what you are expecting. If the controller can guarantee a better launch, on the other hand, then you may see better times.
