Default How to launch ISF?

I've been driving stick for 16 years, 8 cars... Just picked up an '11 ISF and would like to know how you guys launch these automatics. In my Z, I'd pin 3000 RPM or so and put in some clutch work. It was second nature, but I'm having some trouble figuring out the best way to do it in an F.

anyone?

Practice...

On the street, I feather first gear(I know its hard) I give about 80%, then just mash every gear till redline. Thats with all the electronics off

On the track you can hold the rpms around 1000-1500k rpms and then launch..

But like I said...Practice

Does the F have launch control or some way to hold the rpms? Sorry for the noob questions. I just am not an ISF owner yet and am trying to learn more about the car before I get into one. TIA.

Let's say we're in prime conditions for a nice launch. Would you recommend Sport mode, traction control on/off, hold brake - prime throttle or is this not something done in an automatic?

You guys are killing me,.. I'm away from my F for the next month (TDY :egad and just talking about spinning tires and launches gets my blood pumping. It always amazes me how Sport mode completely changes the demeanor of the car.

if you read the numerous threads about this
the fastest way is just to put the pedal to the floor in sport mode
traction control on or off is debatable because some have had good results with it on and off
according to the dudes with the fastest drag times

I do all of the above

Put it in neutral, take the engine to redline, then drop in into drive. :-)
