Default Radiator leak......

took the isf for the 50k km service and they call saying that you have a radiator leak due to "high pressure" in the engine due to headers, and wont be replaced under warranty. Wth happened here guys?

So the dealer is saying that your headers changed the Compression Ratio of the motor? Sounds outlandish to me.

I don't understand how headers could affect pressure in the cooling system. Eventhough they are both attached to the engine there is no relationship between them

Your is dealer FOS - Plain and Simple There is no relationship between water pressure and a free flowing exhaust system. Escalate your claim and make them explain to you why they think their explanation makes sense. Oh, you may want to share the dealer's name here and let them know you are spreading negative feedback about them on the web.

I believe he said a sheik owns the dealership, so he's pretty much at the mercy of the dealer. There's no Magnussen-Moss to back up either side.

I'd try working it this way - wait, you're telling me the radiator failed because of excess pressure inside the engine? That must mean a head gasket is blown, and there's no way the headers and exhaust would cause that because the headers and exhaust REDUCE pressure by being freeflowing. Sounds like a serious warranty issue to me.

(OK, so it's BS, but it sounds as logical as what they're claiming...)

Sorted things out and they were like change to the stock intake pipe and we'll replace the radiator.. will see how it goes.
