Once you sit inside an F you cant go to a GTR anyway. The F interior is soooo much nicer than a GTR. Having the launch buttons and boost pressure gauges etc are nice but could they have made them any butt uglier? As for Nissan's reliability I drove Maximas for over 10 years. Never again. I basically watched nissan's customer service and reliability go to ****. They really don't care anymore.

As for the F's ECU the problem with "cracking" the thing isnt the code or the security its actually just being able to interface with it..

I wanted a 370Z, but man they have issues. Nissan here in Australia charge a fortune for parts and servicing too. Can't beat Toyota for reliability!

A C38 Rotrex kit for our ISFs would be sweet! 400rwkw wouldn't be too much of a stretch!

i know it may not be anywhere near a super car..but my wrx had two failed trannys, the last being a RA race spec gear set from Japan. since then, i have been very hesitant getting a fast carbecause i'm a modder....cant keep anything stock. so i have been eyeing a 03-04 terminator as a street monster and a cts-v for the daily.. lil bro already has an is-f.

Is this about a supercharger or hating on a gtr thread.... I'd like to see any isf rip up a gtr with basic mods. Such a different class of car, they are not comparable at all in anyway. Build the transmission on a gtr the first time it goes and there won't be any more transmission issues. If anyone has a friend going through transmissions in a gtr that often you should recommend they give Southside or AMS performance .... Many others a call to fix the problem like he should have the first time.

Back on topic: the icode set up is nice but many could build the same or a better unit(use of factory hood and less IC pipe) cheaper and would, if there was tuning.... Some are trying with stand alone and Novel has bought a US spec ISF to try after their sucsess in Japan but n one has the offer up for sale to the general public and their are large doubts it's going to happen.

Any idea what the business decision behind this is? Seems like the car would be more desirable/valuable if more aftermarket mods were available.. If modding voids the warranty, why would Toyota care?

Less warranty fraud.

D3 performance has cracked the ISF ECU.

Search YouTube for "D3 performance Lexus ISF"
Hopefully they get something out to the public soon

Nowhere does it say they cracked the ecu, it shows them "tuning" the ISF. For all we know that could be a dyno test of their axle back system, not an ecu modification.

I'm taking Lobux's word on this one, (although tuners were able to crack the latest Bosch ecu's)

Um no they haven't, do a little research and you'll find they are trying a Pro EFI Stand alone unit
