Default Nav screen playing movies

My 09 plays movies while driving, I thought this feature is blocked when not parked, is this normal? I was happy when I saw this feature.

Hello, I have a 2009 and ML system. This is cool because you need a bypass gadget for BMWs when not in park to view the DVD movies.

^^Looks like it was pernamently bypassed while allowing the Nav to work. Well thats nice. I know with the bypass kit, you have a push button remote control....

Yeah, I put in a bypass unit...I have 2 buttons; 1 to allow nav / audio selection on the move, a second to allow DVD watching on the move. I keep the movie "Gone in 60 Seconds" in the sixth disc slot....one of my favorite modern car movies ever.

Yeah I was sitting in the garage and I was like, hmmm... let me throw in a movie and see how it looks, then my wife got in the car and I backed out. The screen switched to the reverse camera, and then put it in drive and the movie started to play again. I was like, Wtf...shouldn't this be off unless it has an after after market bypass deal. That's when I grabbed my phone and posted a thread. I can make a youtube video if anyone is interested.

Yes I can change everything on the fly with Navi, the only thing I do not like about the Navigation is that it wont give me a turn by turn via voice, on the highway it does but city strerts I have to look st the screen highlighted blue, but my Bimmers always told me a play by play, like when to turn, the distance till turning and exactly where to go, this Navi kinda blows. I wonder how it was bypassed with previous owner, everything looks intact like brand new.

^^ So in that case, how did you get the nav screen back? I couldn't tell, think you just pushed the "MAP" button, I guess.

You car is wild bro. That is some funny sheet. Good find. I'm pretty sure there's an explanation for this, but your car is able to do everything and more. All of us, we have to shell out $325 for a module with a wire remote control that depending on where it is located, can look out-of-place ugly. You might be the first, I dare to say?? I'm shocked, it all looks soo "factory-ish", the way you used it on the video.
