Default My first problem

Well I've had my F for a month and yesterday noticed a beep sound every 10 s whether the engine is on or off . I checked all doors , trunk and other sensors... everything seems to be ok . Manual doesn't address this sort of beep . Has anyone experiemced this ? I have an appt with dealer tomorrow .
My reason for posting this is to see if anyone has had this and if not will be a resource as I could not come up with anything by search .

Probably a dumb question, but are you sure you didn't forget the ignition on when walking out of the car? It will beep if the key is in your pocket.

Could the battery in the key fob be weak, maybe its sensing no key in range of ignition?

Happens irrespective of where the key is located. Shouldn't happen if my key is in the house and my car is in the garage? Will let you know what the dealer says on Wednesday.Meanwhile it continues to beep every 30 secs.

Did you check for a rats nest inside the engine compartment?

HA...I see what you did there

I have only had the beep if I step out of the car with the key while I'm warming it up in the morning, other than that its never happened...seems very odd.

Sorry couldn't resist poking fun of that thread! It went on too long and we never heard back from the OP.

I'm going to say that it has to do with the sensor in the car, or the FOB battery. You might be due for a battery.

Also, do you have more than one Lexus with a smart key? If you have two different smart keys in your pocket, this problem can sometimes occur because one key signal is conflicted with the other.

Here's something you can try out. Do you have both key fobs? If so, try to place them somewhere far away from where you park your cars. Go back to the ISF, and try to start it without the keys. If the car starts, then there's another transmitter in the car somewhere.

Well I just got back from the dealer and would you know it the sound just vanished.Could not reproduce it.They did a full 'health check' and everything turned out ok.It has not recurred . I hadn't driven it a few days and maybe it was begging to be driven Anyway I'm glad so far no issues.
I would really like to thank everybody for theri input.
