Lou several forum members who had the Sikky Headers installed in theif F's have pulled over 400rwhp. Might be the type of dyno showing higher numbers.

I'm comparing a pair of sikky and elite headers right now in my hands and wow. sikkys look like ***!!

As for the ppe I wish I could have a pair in hand but from the pics they look a million times better! The quality is unreal looking.

The only postings I have seen that show over 400 HP were Posted by or by JE customers. They use a JE DynaPak Dyno, which IMHO shows wildly inflated results. Also, I do not know how the dynos were run. On the Dynos I have shown, all runs were done on a Dynojet and all were run in sixth gear.

I have never seen a pair of Sikky's, but I have seen a lot of headers in my day, both good and bad in workmanship and design. Before I did business, I knew PPE by reputation, and after seeing the final product, which I now have, their build and design quality were outstanding.

Good point I am leaning toward the PPE headers

Could also be seen as dynojet numbers being deflated compared to the Dynapack ones.

Anyway, dyno testing is nothing more than a tool used to compare or analyze the output of an engine. You also have to keep in mind that no two dynamometers will measure exactly the same and even the same dynamometer can measure differently on different days.

Correct. Dynapacks in my experience show higher hp numbers while the tq is lower vs Dynojets.

James you are right there are many variables and not all two dyno's are exactly the same.

I love how the only headers that are widely produced and have great gains are now ****ty to everyone because the "look" I know the ppe look great, but they don't actually make more whp than the sikky correct? 2600 miles no cell.

IMO is about the gains and performance not look. You can't see them anyway so unless you are showing the car who cares. I'd like to see if ppe's or elites don't pull a cel after a long period of time. We all know the sikky headers don't.

It's not about the look, it's about the craftsmanship and attention to detail. IMHO, that extra attention pays dividends in performance, fit and longevity. Again, that's JMO.

But from what Ive read and know sikky has the highest gains. My car personally gained 49 rwhp with headeers alone. Runs were done back to back and on the same day. Gains are going to be the same regardless of the dyno. It's just the actual final number that will be different. Not the gain achieved. Please correct me if I am wrong but again the sikky headers produce the highest gains so IMHO they are the best!!!! Regardless of this poor craftsmenship that some are claiming. If they are so poor why are they the highest gaining and only ones to the best of my knowledge that are in production and actually work!!!

^^^^I don't wish to get in an argument, but that just aint so. From what I have observed dyno to dyno (Dynojet) and exhaust to exhaust the gain from the PPE and Sikky headers is about the same, roughly 28HP and 25 Lb Ft of Torque. However, the PPE comes on a bit sooner. The JE tests were run on a Dynapak, and the PPEs never were. Therefore, they can't be compared on a Dynapak, only the Dynojet.

Sikky's are more established for the IS-F for now. They produce the most and from what I’ve seen are pretty consistent in the numbers.
Lou has a custom exhaust; it will be interesting to see future members install these PPE headers along with a Joe Z exhaust (the majority of members) and dyno.
The Dynapack does read relatively high peak and between parts, but a massive gain was shown regardless, I’m sure that more a testament to how bottled up the F manifolds are stock than pure engineering from any one header fabricator. On different dynos, it always comes down to percentages.

Like I always say, let’s take it to the track.

Lou for your comment yes the dynapack has high numbers but James (caymandiver) did a dynojet as well as dynapak. His final number was lower but he still had a gain of 40+ hp. Just so you know.
