if there wasn't a difference in weight, would the 275s show improvement over the 245s in traction? also i believe the 275/40/17 setup is sightly smaller in over all diameter compared to the 245/40/18 as well as stock 19s setup, will this affect the et or traps in any way?

Default Mt slicks or BFG drag radials?

After changing out the diff on my ISF to the IS 350 diff, the tires skate and I want to take the car to the track to test it out. Will drag radials be good enough? I will never run nitrous in the car so I don't think I will need slicks. What do you all think? And I also want to pick up a set of rims, what size tires and rims should I go with, thanks in advance.

I run mt 275/40/17 on my isf with the 522 xxr wheels thanks to dv8, and I have to tell you once you heat them up, you won't be able to break them loose no matter how hard you launch, honestly I never thought a drag radial can stick so well but does, mts for life. Thanks again dv8, all the props to you for doing all the hard work and finding this set up.

Does anybody know if this setup will clear the calipers 17x9 +45mm Enkei Racing RPF1? I have been searching far and wide to find RE30s for a reasonable price, but to no avail. This is the next best thing I can find. I just got back home to the states and wanted to hit the strip, but I imagine by the time I could actually get this setup on my car all the drag strips will be closed for the year.

No!!! Ive tried and they dont fit. If you want to run an RPF1, you'll need to go with 18s with a +45 offset and very small spacer.

I'm running M&H Racemaster 245/40/18. They hook like no other....wish I could drive on the street with them! Too bad the treadwear rating is low

I bought mine yesterday from a member here, should arrive next week. They are Nitto NT05R's in 275/40/17 size , family member is running same size in Mickey Thompsons D.R., just posted a video on YouTube, he was kind of slipping of the line, mods are just joeZ and hps pipe.

Just curious if the slicks will add more stress to the overall drivetrain?
