I tried these Evo VIII 17's on a couple days ago and they work with about 3mm of clearance due to not having a crazy drop center like the Welds have.

how do these look on the car... I have a set aswell since I also have a evo8

I need to put my radials on them and then I'll take pics. I'm only going to run a 245 though.

I used 16s on my Supra. I still have them....I wonder if they'll fit the IS-F?

Got some 245/45/17 Hoosiers DR2's and mounted them on a 17x8+35 Rota Boost. Even though the wheel itself weighted almost 4 lbs more than my 18x9.5 TE37's the tire was much lighter than my 285's so the combo still came out to 4.4 lbs lighter per wheel/tire. FWIW these 245 Hoosiers are only an inch narrower than my 285 Advan A048's.

Very nice, I'm interested to see what this does for your 60ft and ET, please post when you have results... I actually think it looks pretty good too.

I will for sure be going to the track Friday but I have to make a decision. I can go to the 1/8th or I can go to the 1/4 mile. The issue is that the 1/4 mile is doing a no prep test N tune night. I just don't know if there's any point in going to that if they aren't putting down any VHT. I REALLY want a 1/4 mile number though.

quarter. Car pulls harder on the last 1/8 then it does the first. People pull me in the first half and I will start to run them down on the second half

Am looking to get a set-up for the rear. While I'm sure my 19's would be sufficient, 18 or even 17 is preferred (while keeping 26" diameter). Sadly, I only can make it to a few race weekends per year, so I'm trying to keep costs down as far as rims go.

As far as 18"x8.5 go, will a 48 offset work? I'd be running 245/40/18 M&H

And as far as 17"x8, will a 45 offset work? I'd be running 245/45/17 M&H

Any issues with these? Any better ideas? I tried to fit my 16" Supra drag set-up on....but no go!!

48 will work on the 18 but go +35 on the 17x8. That’s what mine are with no issue
