Default Changing Gears Whilst Sideways?

IS-F Humans,
Being the hooligan I am I enjoy beating up on my F, however I've struck a little problem. It would seem that whilst sideways, on a racetrack of course, that the F drops the throttle when changing, thus interrupting my fluid line through the corner. I would have thought that having the car in sport mode would alleviate this problem but it doesn't appear to be the case.
Can you assist?
Jeff

You're changing gears in the middle of a turn? You're supposed to enter a turn already in the gear you want to exit in.

I've shifted mine mid-turn at the track and not had any issues. I wouldn't do this in a fast turn, but in a slow turn (<100 km/hr) it works fine.

Its more that I'm hitting the limiter on corner exit whilst sliding and I'd like to keep it going.

Lobux - was there any loss of drive? Like a stutter?

I was at full speed and sliding a bit on exit, but no, nothing serious enough to require opposite lock or anything unusual.

OK - I'm more your tip it in early juice it up, have it sliding by the apex kind of driver...hence the need to bang another gear whilst sideways.

Nah, I don't waste my time with lots of opposite lock. It's slow for lap times unless you're on dirt.

Yeah I know. I drive for style points not FTDs these days. In the GT-R I can occasionally do both, but not the F.
