michelin and bosch come to mind. personally i choose bosch because its really durable and long lasting. had it in my camry for five years, and it's weathered the heat nicely (the rubber still is strong and intact).

I haven't tried PPG but Rain-X does well on first application. Water dances off the wind shield when driving 40+ mph. No matter how hard it rain, I never had to use the wipers at the Max level and I didn't even use the wiper when driving in the rain at night. RainX does wear off over time but the vision is much better than without. Follow the instruction and try put it on before Wed/Thu rain here in LA, as forecast.

They work best when it rains hard. I've been using Rain-X since 1989 and just started using Aquapel on the wife's Scion. I rarely use the wipers - typically only at low speeds or when I can't get clean air in front of me (following closely on the freeway). Even after they've worn down a lot the vision is FAR better than just wipers. They're most impressive when they're freshly applied because the water glides right off the glass at 35 mph. Definitely no need for wipers at night.

Update: just bought some bosch icons... they dont look nice as stock ones but i think i'll have to live with it..
