I've known these guys since my S2000 days ~8 years. They do great work, more than generic tuning. They do custom programs and parts fabrication, turbos, exhasts etc. They work on a lot of highend stuff now.

Nothing about expected gains, though. Who's going to be the guinea pig with deep pockets??

Well it looks like the cat is out of the bag. I'm actually working with Asura Patel (the owner of Asura Design) in tuning the ECU for the IS-F. Me nor Asura are making any promises...we may or may not actually succeed. I know that there is A LOT of people who doubt that Lexus/Toyota ECU's can be cracked and with past experiences, such as with MHP, this is may likely be the case. However, it only takes one person to successfully tune a Lexus ECU to debunk that theory, and I'm sincerely hoping that Asura Design will be that company. They have a great deal of experience with ECU tuning and most of all, they won't put anything out there without making damn sure that it's reliable and doing what they promise because they don't want to sully their good name. So, for right now, until we get some definative numbers from the ECU tune, all I can say is that we're working on it, and we'll let you know when we have some more details...Darshana S..

Best of luck with that, seriously. It's a very tough nut to crack, and many talented software tuners have tried. I honestly hope you succeed, but I'll tell you up front I'm not optimistic. Keep us apprised. There's nothing I'd like better than to see a Toyota ECM cracked wide open.

Best of luck with the R&D. I hope that you guys are able to make a remarkable breakthrough in an area that has had many lexus owner baffled and disappointed for the last few years or so.

Wide open would be great. Though if they are able to accomplish the task would the tuning availability be greater than a normal car? I have read many articles regarding how technologically advanced the Lexus Ecu is so im very optimistic about just how great the Ecu actually is

Yeah me too...

This is obviously being approached in a completely different manner.

Basically, if it can be done it will be done, using proper R&D procedures..

That's great to hear, but until someone can back the r&d with real numbers, I highly doubt it. I will echo lobuxracer's sentiment as no one has cracked the Toyota/Lexus ECU code. Tom's, HKS, Trust/Greddy and etc can't do it...and they are long time trusted, well known aftermarket Toyota tuners. Good luck to them, but like MHP, isn't it a bit premature to claim an ECU tune on an IS F before even providing any proof? They have no Toyota or Lexus tuning background as it is absent on that application guide.
