0-60 mph using GPS 4.4-4.8 seconds
Hey guys, this is my THIRD performance meter. First one was a basic G-Timer of sorts, then another, and this third one is the best. It's a 500$ GPS performance thing by racelogic. I bought it last year and I finally got a chance to install it today. There is no calibration since it is all GPS.
In any case, using NO rollout, my 0-60 mph on a fully stock (including rims, tirs, and weight) on the street with all nannies off ranges from 4.4-4.8 seconds depending on how good the surface was. Lexus' website claims 4.6 which is pretty accurate. The number 1 limitation was traction on first gear - if I could get it to hook up like at a drag strip, I think I can get it down to like low 4s. Next time I'm at the drag strip, I'm going to plug the GPS thing in.

Hasn't car & driver been known to exagerate there numbers, they gave the c63 a 3.9 0-60. But road and track gave the F 4.2 as well. Check it out...

car & driver, road & track.......it's all the same crap! All I know is that the C63 is faster than the F and the F is faster than the M3 and RS4..........don't ask me how I know this..........street racing is not condoned in these forums
The C63 is faster than the F to the shop...LOL I passed by my local benz dealer and on the tow truck was a brand spanking new CL 63 and I said to myself forget about 0-60 and 1/4 mile numbers on a piece of paper thats why I bought Lexus.
good point, and the new CTS-V is already having problems and has issued a TSB

Nice, I think lexus 0-60 time is pretty accurate and when I tried my 0-60 time and 1/4 mile time on my Gtech Pro SS meter lowest I ever got was 4.5. I will also try out my Gtech Pro SS meter at the dragstrips this year and see how accurate it gets compared to the strips.
according to racelogic, the gps sensor samples car location 10 times per second. i don't know if it has a software that correct for the delay; if not, it is likely to overestimate acceleration time.
BTW, what kind of tires do you have and how many miles on them?

PS2 and about 5K miles. 4K were on my winter tires. However, probably already about 25% used up in the rears.
Racelogic's GPS timer is definitely a cut above those G-force type setups. It doesn't matter if you're uphill or downhill and there is no calibration needed. Some of the more expensive G-Force type are about 200$+ but for the extra 300 (which is a lot), the Racelogic does a MUCH better job and is more accurate (IMO) plus, you can plug in a memory chip in it and it plots out your whole track day! (haven't used this feature yet). Highest lateral G force on a right turn into my subdivision is at .94 G! LOL (only tried once).
Some of the magazines use a 1 foot rollout which means that the first 1 foot isn't measured which will give you a 4.2 reading easily if you're able to get a 4.5
