Does anyone have this, or know anything about it?

It is a normal drop in filter. Instead of cotton gauze style, it's a foam based filter.

Mine's on order through VIP AutoSalon. I heard they were expecting their shipment from Japan sometime this week. I'm hoping for the best.

There was another thread started on the filter. You can probably find it via search.

Waiting on mine too thru VIP. Sounds like it won't be long.

Colin.

Any benefits over other aftermarket filters (HKS, etc), aside from the brand name?

This sounds interesting. But I'm going to hold off until some dyno's to prove some additional benifit, especially given the Armsol and K&N filters have been shown not to be benificial with the F.

Well since the K&N filter people were using was really just an oil filter for a VW that fit the dimensional requirements for the ISF airbox, that didn't go over too well with the MAF sensor in the F.

The Tom's filter is a foam "dry type" filter which is the first actual aftermarket filter I've seen. So from what I've seen, it is literally in a league of its own in regards to the ISF. Only time will tell. Mine was shipped yesterday. I'll let you know how things go.

The Armsol filter was also a dry filter but that didn't go down so well with the IS-F. But definately let us know how the Tom's filter is. Do you plan on getting it dynoed after getting the filter?

It hasn't arrived yet. I may dyno for the joe z setup and filter combo. Not sure if it's worth the $90. But I'm sure you'll be the first to know if I do.

I'm sure the ISF User Manual covers this.
