Fair enough, I will leave you guys alone and let you continue in your Joe Z celebration! Props to Joe Z

But if being a vendor sponsored in here is the only validation needed for Lexus owners, then why did Tanabe get flamed to death for trying to continue their R&D for an exhaust for the IS-F? Should they not be given the benefit of the doubt like Joe Z? Or are we supposed to pick and choose in regard to respectability?

I tend to agree, I feel like there is a ton of power left out, so the car still feels like a Lexus, the dual stage intake is a great example, low end power delivery has been compromised to keep the feel of the Luxury sedan, like a Lexus should be.

Because being a vendor here doesn't get you validation. Selling to the board by itself does nothing. Selling something proven to work on install after install, and happy CL member after happy CL member means everything.

Had you been here awhile, you would know this. Since you haven't you're being skeptical. That's fine and good, but when you've seen what we've seen and heard the open and honest communication Joe has about his products along with all the successful installs DELIVERING his claims, then you'll stop being skeptical.

And that's true of every engine from every manufacturer. Some are inherently better than others. This is why we blueprint engines - so we get the most from what the designer intended, and not luck of the draw after all the tolerances have been stacked when building a volume product.

For example - my first real hot rod project was my 1984 FJ1100. Factory spec for compression ratio was 9.5:1. It actually measured 9.2:1. Was it acceptable? Yamaha thought so. I've seen the same thing over and over again in production engines. So, if you get one that's especially strong, count your lucky stars. If you didn't, there's nothing you can really do short of blueprinting the engine to make it as strong as the strong ones are. It's just the way manufacturing goes.

Thank You Guys!!!
This is Exactly what I have strived to achieve with out fail, to our Lexus IS Community for the last 6+ years.

Also, as stated many times during the R&D process.. All DYNO testing was / is INDEPENDENTLY completed by a 3rd party shop.

Thank You
Joe Z

Agreed - members and moderators, please help keep this thread on topic.
