Hi Dave..

Thank You !

Of course.
It was mentioned in the R&D thread, but I will post it here as well..
Since I have them pictured side-by-side..

* Exhaust Weight Facts *

OEM Exhaust System (2 sections)
Front-Mid section = 33 lbs
Rear Axle section = 37 lbs
Total = 70 lbs

PTS - 304 Stainless Steel Exhaust (4 sections)
Front X-pipe = 16 lbs
Mid section = 19 lbs
Rear axle sections = 29 lbs
Total = 64 lbs

Some additional side notes are:

The Entire System is constructed of 304 Stainless Steel.
All the Flanges are Stainless Steel.
All the connections are Fully TIG Welded.
The Front & Mid Sections have been finished in Brushed Stainless Steel.
The Rear Axle Sections have been finished in Mirror Polished Stainless Steel.
* 100% Made in the USA! *

Also, I can not take full credit for all of this hard work.

- Performance Tube Systems (PTS) and their entire Staff put lots of hard work and man hours to deliver us exhaust systems that meets and exceeds our Enthusiasts expectations..
I personally appreciate everything they have done to make this happen for us.
Including the ISx50 exhausts which fall in this very same category.
If this wasn't the case, I would have not been involved in this joint venture.

Thank You

Joe Z

In our excitment, looks like we forgot to take some Rear Shots of the exhaust with the IS-F on the ground.
Maybe "CrazyMPG" can provide us with some later today.

So bascially, if you are driving behind this IS-F..
..the rear view is pretty sweet, as far as the polished pipes are concerned.
If your driving behind these cars, you will know they are not stock...

Looks something like this (View of an IS350 PTS Exhaust) :

Edit: Compared to a few rear shots of the IS-F PTS Exhaust

Dave, I read on one of the GB posts that the OEM is 70lbs. and the PTS replacement is 64lbs.

Here's all the specs from that thread:

Cheers, Joe. The pics are just what I was looking for.

Why dont OEM's polish the exhausts!?

Seriously looking at how much better the Joe Z exhaust looks it makes the OEM unit look...well just not look good. I know its a great exhaust but look how much cooler the Joe Z unit looks under there!

On a premium car such as the IS-F wouldn't it be worth it as an extra selling point to communicate to the particular enthusiasts like us that they are going that little extra step?

I think Lexus should look at Joe Z's exhaust for inspiration.
^^ Thanks Andy!!!

This was a reply to a deleted post:

SRT and Milltek are not showing their faces here and support their #, JoeZ is, that alone worth respect. This exhaust is not the first JoeZ product, there is an ISx50 exhaust and Intake tube, looking at other threads it is clear that trust has been established between the CL community and JoeZ

I do wish it weighed less. This car is a pig and needs to go on a serious diet. I'll probably end up going to a custom exhaust shop. Hopefully a custom titanium won't be too much. :O Are there dyno graphs? If it makes a peak of 25rwhp, then that's a great increase.

BTW, why did you split it into two pipes at the end instead of a single one like the OEM one? I think that's where you probably could've saved weight, but then again I don't know how that would've affected performance.

Not quite 25. From an earlier thread, the dyno numbers were 22whp and 18 lbs torque. I had mentioned "expected gains of 20-25rwhp" in my previous post, but that was just because I had forgotten the actual values.

haha yeah...average is around 22whp...but it also depends on the IS-F...some stock IS-F get good baseline numbers while some don't...so yeah...hehe

Looks like a quality exhaust! The vids are not working and the very most important thing in this install is not how much it weighs or how it looks but how it sounds! (From the great word of moth it is recieving it sounds pretty good).

Any one got a working link?
