Default 255 size Blizzaks kinda squirrely

Hey guys, I've been driving around in my 255 40 18 Blizzak LM25s for a bit now and have to comment that the car definitely feels more squirrely during acceleration - have you guys noticed it?Compared to my IS350 on Pirelli Snowsport 240's and Dunlop 3Ds, the Blizzaks seem to be most squishy.* Maybe it's the cars extra weight?* Maybe the extra horsepower?Anybody else care to comment?* I know some of you guys are running 225 rears.* How does it drive?

I was about to post about my initial impressions of running stock sized 19" Blizzak LM-25s.

The weather has been pretty decent in Vancouver so I have no idea how these things handle in the snow or ice.

I did notice that the rear end seemed to wiggle more than with the PS2s but I attributed that to the tires being brand new and needing a few 100 km's to break in. I don't know about you guys but the car did wiggle under hard acceleration for me with the PS2s in the dry and especially wet.

I would think running a 18" tire with an extra 5% sidewall height you would get better traction than the stock dimension.

From a different stand point I was surprised how quiet the LM-25s are and only noticed more noise under braking. The ride quality also felt a bit softer, but I was expecting that. Overall, I am quite impressed with the Blizzaks and wasn't too disappointed with its performance.

I too would like to hear how you other 18" 225, 18" 255, and 19" 225 comments are?

I have 18" 225/45/18's on my F. The Blizzak's are not even remotely close to the traction of the PS2's. Even before we got major snow, the Blizzak's have significantly less grip on dry pavement, and I would suggest that the PS2's were better on wet pavement. Of course, the Blizzak's have been amazing in the snow and ice, but they aren't performance tires....although nothing will be "performance" in this kind of weather.
