Hey.. would these be good/fit on the stock IS-F wheels.....
Eagle F1 Asymmetric OR
Eagle F1 GS-D3
(they both cost alot less) yet, get a better traction rating and better tread ware rating then both Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 and bridgestone potenza's...
what do you think??

from tirerack right?....I just know the PS2's are very grippy and they are lower in weight than any other tire in its class...although the toyo t1r is very close...like 1lb difference...

I thought only Michelin & Bridgestone were making tires with the same size as the stock's, I checked with Good Year a month ago. Are you saying they now offer those sizes (225/40R19 + 255/35R19)? If so you might be be the first one to try them...

I would upgrade the sizes of the tires if still keeping the stock rims. I'd go with 235's in the front and at least a 265's in the rear. The stock rim width will allow you to run these sizes with a problem...Darshana S...
goodyear makes the back tires exactly...
255/35/19
but the front would have to be 225/35/19... instead of 225/40/19

why? is that bad? it would be the same tread as the backOriginally Posted by foup
That would mean smaller wheel in the front? Not a good idea.

The slightly smaller wheel makes for ugly gap. Right now, I'm temporarily using my IS350 tires on the front rims in preparation for the winter and the 225 40 18 is roughtly equivalent in diameter to 225 35 19 and I can tell you the gap looks reallllll cheesy. I'm getting LM25 225 45 18s to preserve the outer diameter/gap but beefier to better handle the ruts and potholes over the winter.

The outside diameter of Your front wheel would be smaller so it would affect your indicated speed if the speed sensor is on the front (to be confirmed). At a given RPM your car would go slower but indicate a higher speed.

I think the speed sensor is in the rear - ever notice that the speedometer goes up when you're peeling out? I can get it past 60 mph and I'm probably only doing 5 mph...

Lead Lap
I've used few diff manuf. and always ended up w/ PS2 on my old slightly mod 540. After 3 sets, they were Easy to balance, gave smooth quiet ride and killer grip on wet or dry pavement for the entire life of the tires, not just the first 10k miles like other brand names. That's one of the reasons why PS2 costs more than others.
