it all depends on the color/availability and options/accessories on the car to get the best estimate. the best i've seen posted here is for a nav/lev, parking assist, preferred accessory package for sticker OTD in so cal.

If you get something similar or close to the MSRP amount but OTD (Tax, License and etc) for that price, you've made it close to invoice pricing on the car.

Sticker price on a car I looked at was around 61,700..and dealer brought it down to just 60k. Was looking to push for more then that, and thought it was an insult being my father is a previous customer, they're response "it's a speciality vehicle."

I know buying a new car can be fun but the pragmatic side of me says buy this or something similar in your area...

For anyone other than the "gotta have it now" crowd, there's no valid reason to be paying (or negotiating from) MSRP on these cars...just take a look at inventories nationwide. The specialty vehicle ploy washes only if the car is in short supply (*cough* C63 *cough*)...the F is not...and there are already CPO/lightly used examples available. 4% or so over invoice in this economy is pretty damn generous. However, I will admit Lexus dealers are currently playing a resistance game in discounting the F so IMHO your best strategies are to either 1) wait, or 2) go at as many dealers as you can via email and be prepared to travel some distance to get it.

...and cliffud comes in FTW. As with any higher-end car there's a fair number of buyers who snap one up then rapidly discover they can't afford it. Good deals ensue. I personally have always bought lightly used (for me, anyway...the wife gets new cars ) and have never been disappointed. The first owner eats the depreciation and you get the warranty.

But what the hey...if you can't swing the right deal on an F then hop over and nab a 6MT ///M3 sedan. The discounts are getting better every day.
