So my sun roof wont close all the way. When i set it the closed it scrolls all the way until it reaches the last setting(about an inch open) and it opens again. Kinda like there is something stuck. Anyone know?

 

maybe there IS something stuck on rails?

 

My 350 did this last Friday. I had to close it one step at a time. For some reason, when it hits the wind deflector, it thinks a body part is in the way and it backs off to full open. Closing it a single step at a time got it closed all the way. It wouldn't do it a second time after I got it closed.

 

Have your dealer check it out....

 

yah.. its free.. so go have the dealer look at it... you have to take the car in at 1000 miles and 5000 miles anyways.. so

I had the same thing on my ISF. The Lexus guy fixed it today and said it was a default mode it goes into when something blocks the roof from closing. Personally I think it happened after I disconnected my battery to install XM radio.
Dealer will easily fix.

You just have to reset the sunroof. That's all.

I forgot how to reset it but I think you just have to push the button for like 30 seconds.

Yeah that is a default mode that happens on other Lexus models too. This is usually something they take care of at PDI of your Lexus after it arrives to the dealership. All you have to do is cycle through the open/close i think twice. I don't recall. Once it's reset, normal operation should occur. I believe this is also listed in the owners manual. Don't quote me on it, but I think I remember seeing the directions listed in there or the FRM.
