Default did you notice..

and maybe you did, but it looks like the seats are only going to be heated not cooled, even tho the seats are perforated..
I get this from the Lexus website : http://www.lexus.com/isf
if you go to design>interior>sports seats it just says heated and if you look at the interior pics you dont see the blue squares...

is this a repost

Take a look at the Geneva press release. http://www.lexus.com/isf/isf/news.html On page 20, it specifically states that it is one of the standard features,
"Interior Technology
The new Lexus IS-F high-performance saloon boasts a comprehensive
standard equipment package including a Smart Keyless Entry and Start
System, electronic climate control, electric windows and electric, heated
door mirrors, windscreen de-icing, sequentially illuminated LED entry
lighting, Optitron instrument lighting, full leather power adjusted, heated
and ventilated front seats
, electrochromatic interior and door mirrors, bixenon
I-AFS headlamps and Lexus Parking Assist Sensors."

My guess is that this feature would not be removed from this high end model, since the lower IS variants will carry this option.

US version IS-F will have perforated leather and HEATED ONLY seating. Ventilated seats will not be available as well as the power folding mirror option that Europe has.

Why would they do that when heated/ventilated seats are available for the current US market IS's? That's pretty asinine.

Retarded is a pretty accurate description with regards to whomever made that decision. Yet another reason to scratch the IS-F off the list as a potential next vehicle... As of now i'm just crossing my fingers and hoping that the Audi RS5 is going to made available with a DSG transmission.

Could it be the lack of ventilated seats are a way to save weight?

Sure, if they didn't offer the option in another market you could argue that they were trying to be "pure" but FFS...

I concur. Retarded.

Yeah... That is looking pretty sweet right about now. I also saw a new C350 sport on the road yesterday and it was much better looking in person than in pictures.

If the IS-F can't be luxurious one might just as well buy an Evo and save a lot of money.
