I'm still going with: I won't believe it until I see it.

But its fun to imagine no?

It's always fun to imagine and anticipate. If and when the IS 500 comes then it does make for a great reality...

AutoSpies posted pics of an IS Coupe/Cabriolet chopped (or could it be real?) by the famous Brenda Priddy & Company. Not bad looking at all IMHO.

y does everyone chop an is sedan into an is coupe? i dunno but i expect other body changes as well, maybe a different variation in the talights, or the led headlights used in the ls460h would be dope.

Yes, ^^^ looks very good, but I think the convertible, or even just a a regular IS coupe, should have more differentiations from the sedan, & not just sans two doors.

Thumbs up

These are not photochops. These are press release photos that are leaked out. I believe Lexus is going to make an announcement very soon. Perhaps at the british autoshow ? Brenda Priddy always releases legit pictures and info. They were the first ones to report and snap pictures of the LF-A doing testing back in October of 2004 before anyone suspected of a Lexus branded supercar. This is for real. More will be released shortly.

Side mirrors are gigantic on the IS even the top picture is HUGE. They are BIG on the regular sedan also. Doesnt prove anything, they look legit to me.

nice, but I was hoping for something a little more aggressive... any chance the IS500 will look different?

I don't believe these are press release photos. The gas cap cover is completely missing, and on the IS it is on the driver's side of the car.

I too hope it's a chop (and looks like it is) and that Lexus will make the IS coupe more distinguished from the sedan. What happened to the LF-C concept that's supposed to be what the IS Coupe/Cabriolet will be based on?

I never thought this would be the IS hardtop convert because the LF-C seats only two. That could be a precursor to the next gen SC...

What are you talking about? Both the LF-C and the SC seat four. Lexus also said in the PR when the LF-C concept made its debut that it was to become the basis of the new IS.

why would they make LF-C their IS Coupe/Cabrio? How does that make any sense?

I dont know if pics are legit or not, but I doubt there will be major changes to IS design for coupe or cabrio...
