Is the 2016 RCF LSD, non TVD a 3.1 or 2.9 LSD?
I've seen the other threads where people say the LSD is 2.9, but the TVD is 3.1 .
Or is the TVD pumpkin actually an open diff?? Or is it the lsd just with those things attached to it? I'm just trying to get a 3.1 LSD into my ISF and I'm genuinely confused

but when I look up numbers online all I see is 2.9 before February 2019 and after March 2019 say 3.1

3.1 after 03/2019
LSD 3.1 after 03/2019
2.9 before 02/2019
LSD 2.9 before 02/2019

I also don't see the pre-02/2019 TVD specifying it's a 3.1, only after 03/2019.
TVD ?.? before 02/2019
TVD ?.? before 02/2019
TVD 3.1 after 03/2019
TVD 3.1 after 03/2019

411102427(0/1) is the 3.1 torsen LSD if I'm correct and online shows it's on the RCF 2019+ .
Also a crap ton of other cars, does anyone know if these are the same and will fit the ISF?

Based off of these sources, I suppose the TVD is out the picture since the pumpkin is essentially just an open diff regardless of the gear ratio.

Looks like 41110-53320 is the 3.1 open diff variant found in is 350 and rc 350, a lot more available, and a lot cheaper.
What I'm trying to do is get the 3.1, 3.7 and compare them to the 2.9 with the draggy.
0-60, 1/8, 1/4, 60-130, etc. to see what's the best in each field for FBO N/A ISFs.
Then I'll get the best gear ratio in an LSD.

I have 3.13 ring and pinion off of a 2015 IS 350 F Sport on my 2014 IS F, got a new finned case and built it with OS Giken LSD. Very noticeable difference without too much increase in RPM (~200rpm) so still very good at highway cruising.

I just installed a 2017 RCF torsen in my '08 back in the spring. It's the same final drive ratio as the ISF (2.9x). I too thought it was a 3.1x based on what I was reading on the internet, but eventually I found out that the RCF torsens didn't change final drive to 3.1x until 2019 or 2020. Now the TVDs might be the 3.1x and why there might be some confusion on the earlier RCFs.

My 2015 RC F has TVD and it is a 2.9 as well. I have never heard of a 3.1 TVD equipped RC F, and I thought they removed the TVD option with the facelift models (hence 3.1 TORSEN only) but I could be wrong!

I thought only the Track Edition came with a 3.1.

Both the Track Edition and revised 2020MY RC-F utilized the 3.13 final drive ratio.

Complimenting the revised throttle mapping is a higher final drive ratio that keeps the engine in the heart of its powerband. Moving from a 2.97 rear end gear to a 3.13 ratio gave the engineers the leeway to relax the throttle curve without giving up the sense of immediacy in the previous setup.

2008-2014 IS F is 2.94:1
2015-2019 RC F is 2.94:1
2016-2020 GS F is 2.94:1
2020-2025 RC F is 3.13:1

This is true for all variants, with or without TVD, track edition, etc.

Hmmm. So the 41201-59285 gearset from the RC F is the 3.13, and the spool in the RC F diff is the same spool as the IS F, so it sounds like a gear swap would be pretty straight forward - just a matter of getting the tooth engagement correct and all is well.

Amayama is showing this gearset for $368.30 plus tariff and shipping...

Yep, same gearset I have now. Taken from a 50K mile 2015 IS 350 F Sport. Paid $150 for the whole pumpkin, had the ring and pinion magnafluxed and cryoheat treated!
