hello everyone i purchased a 2012 is f and a couple owners ago they put a earlier model steering wheel on the car loosing the sport mode button. I'm wondering if it's possible to add a sport button to the dash like the 08 from the wires going to the steering wheel. I saw the write up where ppl have piggy backed off the dash one to the wheel basically that but backwards.

The radar cruise control button should work just like the Sport mode button from the later model cars. If there is no radar cruise control button, all you need is the switches from 2012 or later, and it's plug n' play.

So after watching the Jacob Schubel video for the 2008 it makes me wonder if i would be able to just swap the sport pin (if it has one/i would think) out of the (he called it the j24 connector) with the mode pin and make the mode button the sport button. though the issue now is i cannot find a diagram of which pin is which. if i knew someone who had one id see about using a voltmeter in the back side if possible to figure out which one is mode and sport.

i didn't see your reply it does have the cruise there yeah i just was hoping id be able to keep the carbon switches though id rather not order a whole wheel for the carbon. i may just order switches if i cant find out what pin is what. thank you for the reply

Just curious. Why would anyone put an older steering wheel on your 2012? They must have give it to their buddy for an upgrade on his older isf? Sold it?

it's a black carbon fiber steering wheel looks really nice just missing the sport button. top is carbon bottom is carbon with the f badge and the controls are also carbon. sides are still that perforated leather.
