Default sport button on steering wheel.

Out if curiosity has anyone tried to do a sport button conversion. I believe 08-2010 all have the sport in the dash. Would it be possible to wire this sucker to the steering wheel if you bought the 2012 steering wheel controls?

I would imagine you would need a 2012 clock spring"spiral cable" and the associated plugs/wiring.
I would imagine that you can't get a pigtail harness for the column side from Lexus. You would most likely need a doner car to cut the harness out of.
The only possibility is that the plug is the same in the older years and you just need to add the pins and swap the clock spring/steering wheel. I'm guessing this is not the case but pull it a part and take a look.

*Do Not mess around with airbag (yellow) wiring if you have not discharged the system.*
