Softer ride is subjective, but you can replace with a 2012+ suspension or KWv3 on the softest settings. Either way it will still be firm, but “softer” than the OEM 2008 suspension.
my F car gets beat up in town. The roads in the city are terrible full of potholes and rundown.
My dad lives in Eastern Iowa. I would hate my F cars if I lived there, but there's nothing you're going to do to accommodate bad roads that won't completely compromise what the car is intended to deliver.

So even your Ohlins DFVs don't soften the ride that much more than stock as far as road bump compliant? I had some Ohlins on my Evo and they were better in "both worlds" compared to stock Bilstein's, but I guess each platform is different.

We have our R3 Road and Track coilovers out. We offer a variation of spring rates to choose with the lowest 14k/10k will be a comfortable ride. There's also 30+ clicks of dampening adjustment to soften it up more if needed. Lastly, on sale at the moment for $100 off.
I put the OEM '13 suspension on my '08, and it made a world of difference (also have brutal roads depending on the time of year here in Colorado - tons of potholes and cracked pavement in the spring every year). There's a thread here on CL with exactly what parts to buy, and they bolt right in.

what part of WA are you in? I’m in the Renton area and BCs/Swift are working out great for me, and I had the 2012 OEM and KWV3 on my car.
I find that tire choices contributes a lot to ride quality, I went from Michelin PSS to Hankook tire briefly (big mistake) and now back on Michelin (pilot all season 4).
The ride is soo rough inside the car with the crappy maintenance of the roads here in the PNW.. My kidneys get quite the workout . I will never sell this car !!

lol definitely do a search next time since there's been a ton of people who ask the same question all of the time. I got rid of my 2008 OEM suspension as soon as I took ownership because of bad tire wear and the rough ride quality. I went with BC Coilovers with upgraded swift springs 16k fronts/12k rears, and also got some USRS which helped with the tire wear. Car rides great for daily driving, even with the poor road conditions in the SF Bay Area.
