Has anyone bought this product from RR. The new carbon fibre engine cover. I would love to see some pics as i might grab one but i don't think I'll get any change out of $1200 au with exchange rate and post cheer from OZ.

 

There's a couple of folks that I've seen post their RR CF engine covers on Instagram. Looks like a high quality cosmetic piece that fits well.. I personally would rather use that money towards performance mods, but that's just me. If I come across the pics or remember who has it, I'll try to take a screenshot

 

One of the big conclusions we've all drawn is that it makes under the hood look much more 2020+ than 2008-2104 with the plastic grey cover.

AND more importantly the cover has vents that look great and serve to reduce the heat buildup under the cover!

 

One problem, there needs to be another version accommodating the tower brace or does this cover clear the @RRRacing brace ?

 

We did fit the brace on with the cover. The only issue was the driver's side touched the brace just a tad so we drilled a tiny hole in the side of the cover and used a zip tie to hold it down a bit. It's not perfect but I doubt anyone would have ever noticed it.
