Weird DTCs
Hey everyone, I am having difficulties with my 2008 ISF right now. My speedometer works perfectly, but the ECU appears to be reading the vehicle speed intermittently(using a code reader). It mostly reads 0 mph, but will start working for a few seconds and reads the correct speed until going back to 0 mph.
I have the following current DTCS: P0500, C2124, C1201, B2282.
I have the following history DTCs: B1801, B1811, B1271.
The CEL,TPMS light, and traction control light are on. The screen switches between check VSC and low tire. The only modification to the vehicle is an aftermarket steering wheel that reads the vehicles speed and rpms using a little device plugged into the obd2 port. I took it out cleared the codes and they still came back. I don't think this is the issue because it's been in the vehicle for years but I'm not sure.
Techstream reads all of the tire pressures, and they appear to be fine. The C2124 makes me think it's a bad TPMS sensor, but when running diagnostics they all give a pressure reading. Is there a good way to diagnose this? Would a TPMS tool give me any more useful information or should I just pay someone to replace all the sensors and hope that's the issue? I am puzzled on what to do next because my intuition would be a bad sensor or something like that, but I have no idea what to test or replace. I am also confused because the speedometer seems to be reading the speed just fine, but the ECU isn't. Thanks to anyone who can help.

I am by no-means an expert, but when I looked into programming TPMS sensors I saw a video that went over a couple scenarios. Each TPMS sensor relays multiple data to the ECU. Tire pressure is one, the ID number is another, and it might have some more in there. I imagine if the pressure info is good but some other data is bad or corrupted, it's now a bad sensor and can flag that code.
You can buy TPMS tools (like Autel) but a decent one is like $200. A shop might be able to use theirs and tell you if a sensor is not responding to their tool.
Also look into your clockspring. This transmits a bunch of info and they are contact-based, and on my particular car (an 08 ISF) the paddle shifters would not work unless they were in a certain position. Out of all the repairs/maintenance I did on that car, the clockspring was one of the easiest things to replace- it probably took me less than 10 minutes.
Maybe try to further disconnect anything electrically tied to the steering wheel and car if theres anything else.

Issue was resolved. Ended up being the gauge cluster. Bought one off ebay and had it reprogrammed to correct odometer reading, all the CELs went away. I found a free service manual online at charm.li, and I followed the inspection procedure for the B2282 CEL. I am going to take apart the old one now and see if I can identify what is wrong with it, but I have no idea what I am doing.
