Default O2 Sensor Placement

I am currently on PPE headers with an xforce exhaust. Since day one with the headers I have had the p0420 and p0430 code. I am having a midpipe with GESI EPA High flow cats fabricated. Anyone know if it will be an issue putting the downstream o2 sensor a little further downstream, post converter. The plan is to put it after the cats in hope that it will get rid of the efficiency code.

I do not. The RR Racing CEL delete method isn’t an option. I still need the OBD Emission to be in ready status.

Yes put it after the cat, and if still getting codes try adding a o2 spacer

It is ok to move the sensors downstream a little further. Just keep the cats as close to the motor as possible. They function off heat, and the closer to the enginw the hotter the exhaust will be.

Thank you. After about 100 miles I am glad to report back and say no more CEL. Surprisingly after just 10 miles of driving with the CATs on the CEL cleared itself. Emission Monitor Status are all in ready stat. No o2 sensor spacers

That's good news. It makes me hopeful I just need a good seal at the header to midpipe connection and I'll be fine again.
