Fob Emergency Key Blade
--
This is in reference to the removable key that's inserted into the key fob. While I have an IS350c, the blank blades are made for dozens of Lexus models which can be found on the supplier's fitting compatible chart. The link I will post here has the two I ordered for about $10.00 for both (now listed as about $21.00).

Then I sent them to Rich in Parts Dept., Murray Lexus, 5686 S. State St., Murray, UT 84107 (801-264-3660). The cost was $48.36 for cutting two, tax and shipping. They fit like new and slid right into my OEM fobs.
Probably most Lexus dealers can duplicate, my local Colorado Toyota dealer cannot. Most local locksmiths cannot, and those that do don't guarantee they will work. I wanted to be sure as I don't have anyone that can bring me my duplicate fob I have in my house. I know some of you carry a billfold "spare" with you at all times, but I don't. My plan, if I were to lose my carry along fob somewhere in the field, is to use the removable key stored in a hidden place on the car, open the driver's door, use the dash button to open the trunk. There I have hidden a spare fob that's had the battery removed (so it won't drain or signal) which I can pull out and use as normal.
Let me know if you have any questions.
