Default Credit card smart key

Has anyone used or programmed a smart lexus credit card key instead of the fobs we have?

the LC/LX guys are doing it here
https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/lex...1164849/page-3

ebay seems to sell it here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/LEXUS-OEM-F...-/232363818772

and there was some discussion back in on the IS forum:

I have it, programmed a brand new one about a year ago. Best thing ever, I don't even miss the lack of buttons.Wrapped it in CF Vinyl to keep it protected.

Part Number: 89904-50481 Can't Guarantee it's going to be the same for another year.
FCC ID: HYQ14ABB

where did you buy?
Ordered through local Lexus Dealership

how much?
~275

how much to program?
Coded it myself, but expect to pay about 150 to get it done. I'd suggest having someone else do it or you could brick the card (and then you can't return it). If you're comfortable, you could follow the directions on the posts you linked too, but expect several hours of research and having to download, install and buy the necessary cables to connect Lexus Techstream to your car.

All in, expect about 450 and a couple of hours of time to have the dealership program it. Some dealers aren't comfortable doing it though, so you might want to ask around first.

If you did it yourself, you'd need a compatible laptop, OBD connection cable, Techstream software and I'd say about 10 hours of time to get it all going. Plus the card.

thanks

That's about right, if you consider the time to program and the cost of the keycard.
