I have test driven an IS250/350 on 3 different occasions...and I continue to have concerns about the poor ride...even with the top uo it seems unsettled...is it that the tires are poor quality--I have wondered about replacing them with Michelin Pilot Sports if that would help or does it need to be shocks and springs too. I am not a fan of a hard, sporty ride--just looking for something more stable/contolled.... ideas?

Makes for a very nice cruiser, that does handle well. No, it doesn't handle like it's on rails like a GTI, but it doesn't have the harsh ride as a GTI either.
I will say that I very disliked the way the car handled stock......a lot due to the stock Bridgestone all-seasons. I immediately put on my set of PS2s from my prior IS350 sedan and noticed a nice upgrade in just that upgrade.
Also, I did the F-sport sways almost immediately as well, which helped a lot.
I just recently did the springs/shocks, and I will say that it did a good job lowering the car (appearance wise) with just an ever-so-slight change in ride quality (and that's cause I'm being a little nit-picky). Now it rides like it should: a sporty luxury car
And again, it rides like a lexus compared to a new VW GTI

Are my only options F-Sport parts right now? Talked to the dealership and they won't install the F-sport springs without the shocks...well, they will but they want "warranty" the work...on my last car I ran eibach drop with no aftermarket shocks and it wasn't a problem...anyone else running F-sport springs without the F-sport shocks? Need to get this car lowered...can't run my wheels until then...

Thanks for any help. Here's some pics.
