I just bought a 2010 IS350c got a decent deal on it because the trunk isn't latching, it's not the latch itself but the cable that triggers it has been severed and currently I have the trunk propped closed.

My question is does anyone know a way to turn the roof not closing alarm off? I plan on fixing the trunk myself when the part arrives but the constant dinging of the roof because the trunk isn't "closed" is driving me nuts is there a fuse I can pull or a way to digitally disable this alarm?
Honestly I don't care about the car being a convertible I just bought it because they are cheaper than the regular is350

 

The trunk not closed and roof not closed are two different things. If my roof is closed and my trunk is open, trunk open is the only message I get. Sounds like you have a roof problem also. Go to an auto parts store and borrow an OBD code reader and see what you have. A roof trouble code starts with the letter B for body.
