HELP! The clear plastic instrument panel cover on our 2012 Lexus is250c has dried window cleaner (windex) drippings on the opposite side. The car wash guys sprayed window cleaner on the clear cover and a lot of it somehow dripped on to the other side of the clear cover. When I am looking at the instrument cluster I can see the dried window cleaner on it. In the upper part of the frame that holds the clear plastic cover in place I see two screws (which I believe are plastic). My questions are:
Am I correct that these screws are plastic and they hold the frame in place?
If yes, what tool removes those screws?
Will the clear panel remove easily from the plastic frame so I can easily clean the dried windex from the panel?
Anything I should be aware of in my attempt to do this?
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
Hello-
Attached is a video that shows how to remove the cluster assembly. Once the cluster is out there are just a few screws or tabs to separate the clear lens so you clean the back side of the lens-
I used this video to remove mine to change out the backlighting to dark blue with red needles.
