Interior mirror mount issue
Apologies in advance for the long winded post.
My wife adjusted the rear view mirror on our 2011 IS250C and succeeded in pulling it off the windshield along with a piece of the windshield!
I attempted—unsuccessfully—to epoxy the mirror, trying best as I could to match up the mirror with the spot on the windshield. Now, I noticed a new crack emanating from the area on the windshield where the mirror anchoring disk had been glued. Can’t drive it without the mirror in place so I’m resigned to replacing the windshield.
My dilemma is I can’t get the disk off the mirror so I can remove the glass and old adhesive so the installer can re-install the mirror. How does one do that??
TIA
