Can an owner of an is500 confirm it has remote start?

 

I'm not an IS 500 owner, but I do have an IS. All 2022 IS models get a 3-year trial of remote services through the Lexus app, which includes remote start.

Can u start from the fob by clicking 3x and holding down for 5 seconds on the third click?

we found this was possible on my wife's Tacoma when we didn't think it had remote start

 

Let's try an experiment.

If you don't think you have a remote start, click three times on the lock button and on third click hold down until vehicle starts. if it doesn't start within 15 seconds then try several more times because you might not be getting it down exactly the way it supposed to work. It's normally two fairly quick clicks and the third hold down. Let us know the results

 

Yes, I have done this before several times, and it works.

 

Wait - are the 3 clicks and Enform subscription different methods? Meaning if you don't have the subscription anymore you can still remote start by clicking 3 times? If so that is awesome, but someone was probably fired for that LOL.

 

No. You have to have the subscription.

There are 4 ways to remote start your new Lexus:

1) Lexus App - 2) Key Fob - 3) Amazon Alexa - 4) Google Assistant-enabled devices

 

Definitely works on my IS500! The 3 clicks start with the remote is finicky at times though.
