Default Other IS500’s in the wild?

I am in the Daytona Beach area and I have yet to see another IS500 on the streets. You know how after you buy a car, you start seeing a million of the same thing, that’s not happening with this car. That normal?

When you see others, is it a rare sighting?

Drive a different car to work. I see more 500's on the road when I'm not driving mine.

::heehee:: The 500 goes against the grain in so many ways. 😜

You’ll see “My drought is over!” posts on some Facebook pages, because it’s rare to see another. (Outside of car meets.) I live in Atlanta and I think we and the Dallas metro area are tied for second in the most inventory in one area list.

I have non-500 friends who see them all the time, but I only care about me! 😂

I've only seen 2 in the Philly burbs but couldn't stop to take pics.

Even an IS 300 AWD is somewhat rare. There just aren't many of this gen IS on the road.

Where I live Southeast Michigan it took me over 1-Year before I finally spotted another random IS500 in my area.

I live in Cary/Raleigh, NC area. I had to drive up to MD to get my IS500. My local dealers don't get enough allocations. I told my wife my car is ultra exclusive. One month later, I see another red on black IS500 show up in my community... My wife is confused 😕

There are two red on black IS500s near me. I see them a lot as we have similar commute. I sold my GTHaus midpipe to one of them.

I have yet to spot a non-black IS500 in my area yet.

I see at least one a week in South Florida. Pretty common around here, but then again so are IS F, RC F, and LC500. GS F do pop up, but those are rare.

I live in the greater Toronto area (3rd largest N.America population centre outside of NY and LA), and since its introduction, I've seen a grand total of 3 out in the wild: 1) a Cloudburst at a gas station where we chatted it up for 30 min annoying other customers waiting to get gas, lol 2) a White one driven by a college student , again at a gas station and 3) a USB weaving in and out of traffic like a mad man (was that you Tony? LOL). That's it in 3 years. I've seen more LC500's than IS500's during this time span. There are none in new car inventory at the dealerships and the used car market shows next to nothing available. I think for Canada they've made a grand total of ~700. I will, however, see MANY IS300's. Those are literally everywhere. Fewer 350's of course. For sure, being in a more winter climate doesn't help 500 sales in Canada, but given the high number of IS300 AWD's that I see, the current gen IS model is a very popular vehicle in Canada.

We also have an existing thread where folks discuss and/or post photos of other IS 500s they have seen out and about!

Yeah, we don't get spotted very often, so the spotted thread gets buried. FWIW, I have not spotted any others in SE VA.

So what you're saying is, we need to drive more often so we can be spotted and also so that we can do more spotting.

Probably need to park in more places, rather than drive. With traffic and Interstate speeds, almost all Asian sedans look alike, to me. I mean a Corvette stands out, but even an IS500 is not very distinctive when a glance is all you get.

I fully support this proposal even if I may be the only one in my area.

I live in Southeast Michigan too! 23' Iridium Silver. I've only seen another IS500 around Northville once (iridium too).
