My post #64 in this thread, has his RO with diagnostic code and repair performed.

All they did was loosen and realign is exhaust flange and gasket that was there..
Nothing replaced..

This is the text I just received.

Hello sir, I just checked with the shop foreman... we had to open a TAS case (basically it's like a trouble ticket with the Lexus engineering team). Looks like they are recommending replacing an exhaust gasket, so we will get that ordered. Due to the car being so new, I have no estimate on when we will be able to get the part. As soon as I have any other updates, I will let you know!

@cbroccoli

Ask for all the CEL codes triggered as it relates to the gasket..

Looking to see if it’s just pointing to the same LH side location for Bank 1 Sensor 2.

Joe Z is correct, I didn't have any gasket's replaced. My understanding was they took the exhaust off and put it back on, tightened everything and that was it.

Thank you.. That tells me it keeps pointing to the LH side O2 sensor..

At least we are seeing the consistent code / location.
Pointing to ONE side.

Update: Diagnosis for mine was that the exhaust gasket between the manifold and front exhaust pipe was deformed and causing an exhaust leak. Code P013A was present for the LH side oxygen sensor slow to switch from rich to lean. Service advisor told me that both exhaust gaskets between the manifolds and pipe assembly were replaced and no leaks were present after this.

^^ Thanks for the update....So when you say the gaskets were replaced, you mean that they put new ones or they simply disassembled the exhaust, repositioned the gaskets and put everything back together?

The repair invoice copy I got has the gasket part listed x2. Can confirm with my service advisor, but I would say these were new replacements.

That’s great news..!!

@jg13219

Please list the OEM part numbers on the invoice, so I can compare / reference existing part numbers we have used on IS F & RC F .

These engines might be “bulletproof,” but the electronics and car as a whole are not immune to issues more than any other car manufacturer.

But go ahead people. Keep buying them and putting on your PPF and ceramic before you know if you have a lemon or not.
This happens to all carmakers no matter how good their long term reliability is. The first model year (and sometimes even second year) of a new car will ALWAYS have problems pop up that don't show up in testing. Every carmaker, yes even Toyota/Lexus, will suffer from this.
