Possible ceramic coating on windshield
My new IS that the dealer ceramic coated, not my choice, however, if I don't pay the 2500 over MSRP you're not getting the car. So, I gladly paid it and it looks good on white. The windshield has some streaks that do not come off with invisible glass or chemical guys. What's the next step. It is mostly on passenger side.
Try a clay bar or clay mitt (with lubricant of course) if that fails then move to a compound. This one is great for glass cleaning
Brilliant Glaze is not super aggressive you may need a compound with more cutting power depending on how bad the left over coating is on your glass.

OR if its a poorly applied dealer ceramic make the dealer fix it!!!

Brilliant glaze is meant for paint, but can be used on glass. The glass specific polish will be better at safely removing ceramic.

Google B004VFVFC2 you get the Adam's polish and the exact link I posted.
For example? I've used many products including supposedly glass specific the above excels on glass.

Definitely take it back to whoever did the coating. When I had my UE done, I noticed swirls on the driver's door. I took it back and he re-did that section.
It's like anything, you should be happy and the dealer should want you to be!

Anyway, brilliant glaze is a wax. Waxes generally don't remove ceramic coatings. The polish has more cutting compound in it.

It supposedly was a product called Cila jet luxury that they charged me $2699. It was a dealer in Iowa and I'm in Cali. I am lucky to have gotten the car. No chance the dealer is going to do anything at this point. Maybe I'll try calling Cila jet, however in all their paperwork they claim you have to take it to selling dealer.
