I'm pretty set on buying an IS 500 and looking at the used market. I've looked all over this forum and on reddit and I can't seem to find any model year differences other than paint color choices. I did see MY 25 finally has folding mirrors. am i missing anything else?

 

The early ones (22/23?) had two tone mirror covers that changed to solid body color. The wheel options changed as well.

 

You pretty much summed it up. No major differences since 22

the 2023 is the bestest and most fastestest.

 

Also, the 2022's had the same interior trim as the 350 F Sport, whereas 2023 and up got new "Satin Chrome" trim and darkened elements around the vents and other places.

Also, note the darkened trim around the air vents in my 2023.



These are just some minor cosmetic changes not often mentioned. Also, for whatever it's worth, you can only get the bright-silver Enkei wheels on the 2022 cars, though they are uncommon.

 

I'm going off my memory here but these are the unique stuff for each year if I'm remembering correctly. Note this is only for the US market cuz y'all Canadians are weird lol.

2022MY

• Silver trim around the vents and center clock.
• Silver Enkei only on this year.
• Window switch trim matched that of the IS350
• Body color mirrors
• 500 Units of the Launch Edition in Incognito

2023MY

• A light was added that illuminates the cup holders
• Window switch trim was switched to satin metallic
• Trim around the vents went to a dark color that more closely matched the plastic "metallic" parts of the door panel
• Enkei wheels were switched to gloss black
• 150 Units of the Special Appearance Package in Molten Pearl (only year this color was offered)

2024MY

• Exterior mirrors were switched to all black
• 150 Units of the Special Appearance Package in Blue Vector (only year this color was offered)
• Incognito is now a mainstream color
• Grecian Water is removed (thank f****** god)
• Atomic silver is removed (sadly)

2025MY

• New BBS wheels were offered.
• Power folding mirrors added.
• 150 Units of the Special Appearance Package in Flare Yellow (only year this color was offered)
• 500 Units of the Ultimate Edition in Wind (only year this knockoff Incognito is offered)
  • This gained factory Brembos
  • Spare tire is now a full size spare, thus royally messing up the trunk space.

I think that sums it all up, but if I am missing something, someone let me know.

 

Canadian model:

On all years:
-headlights washer are on all years of Canadian models
-no BBS option except on special appearance package which comes standard
-no power rear sun shade (I believe)

22MY:
-no sunroof
-no base trim, what you see is what you get
-no power tilt and telescoping steering wheel
-launch edition 50 was available in Canada

23MY:
-no base trim, what you see is what you get
-no power tilt and telescoping steering wheel
-no special appearance package (molten pearl)
-added sunroof

24MY:
-no base trim, what you see is what you get
-added power tilt and telescope steering wheel
-added special appearance package (blue vector) 14 was available in Canada

25MY:
-added base trim but different to USA. It still have the big screen and ML sound system, just no Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) and no Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking
-added power folding mirrors
-special appearance package (flare yellow) 15 maybe available in Canada couldn't find the numbers
-ultimate edition 40 was available in Canada

BTW, the 2023 is the bestest and fastestest. More vroom and zoom.

 

I believe the 2024+ models also have dark chrome window trim and side mirror trim
