Without knowing the price of the brakes you can't reasonably make that assumption. What we do know is the UE brakes and interior add over $6,000 to the US cost. The color is not special and doesn't add any cost over any other paints. Comparatively, GS/RC Brembos will run a bit over $1,000 for all parts installed. The pictures of the UE calipers match the GS/RC calipers perfectly so it is very safe to assume they're the same part. Someone already even sourced red ones!

Cool, build yourself a UE and spend less than $6,000 while maintaining full warranty.

I have Enkei wheels so I can't without spacers Plus I'm not sure I want to add the weight of larger one piece, steel rotors.

And Lexus does warranty their OEM parts. Wear items like brake pads would not be covered. There shouldn't be any issues changing parts. A picky dealer that says otherwise would be picky about the original wear items anyway.

.
A huge reason of why I haven’t done it. I upgraded the pads to ceramics to get better stopping power and way less fade than the OEMs. Slightly squeaky sometimes, but these things stop on a dime, with change!

My local lexus dealers are saying different things such that everything ceased production except UE production, but other dealer says everything is still being produced
1. because one may desire the wind exterior and ultrasuede interior as well as having the upgraded brakes from the factory...
2. i'm very certain production of regular IS500 models have halted.

i wouldn't be surprised if that were the case, that's why i'm saving up ahead of time to swallow the cost some day lol.

yes, i'm aware that OTHER MODELS have the wind color available but that's going off topic.

I think some people just see it as another boring color on the gray/silver/white/black car spectrum, which is why some don't consider it special. I think it's a much more interesting color than Incognito at least. Rumor is that it has metal flaking, which automatically makes it better.

I just completed the handshake with my local dealership.

Canadian Pricing: $85k ($61k USD with Google)

Definitely a better deal than what I imagined it to be.

^^ 85k only?!?! I was expecting closer to 90k Canadian - That is actually not a bad price. Now is that the MSRP or what you guys agreed upon? I know some dealers in Canada will sell below MSRP or give discount to loyal/repeat customers and that fees (Freight & PDI, Dealer admin fee, air condition tax, tire levy etc all add up too)

I get what you're saying, but it still isn't special to me. I passed on a 2022 launch edition for the same reason, that wasn't special to me either.

Agreed! I like the color, I'd even take it over my blue right now because I'm tired of a dark car. Still not special

Give it another week or two and 85K (Cdn) will be 25K US (LOL)

I agree though, it will be interesting to sit down with my dealer because right now, a regular IS 500 in Canada runs at 82K plus fees/taxes. I just can't wrap my head that it's only 3K more for the price (before fees and taxes) - We have to wait for ALRIGHTY to chime in and spill the beans (lol)

You're right! There are other fees with it like what you mentioned which could vary between provinces or dealerships. But the MSRP they quoted me was $85k.

I did ask what would happen if the official Lexus Canada website shows a different price. They said that if the MSRP on the website is lower, they would also lower my total purchase price. But if it were higher on the website, then I get to keep the $85k price they gave me.

Like I said before, they mentioned that the initial shipment to Canada would be less than 10 units, so one of the guys actually wanted the car. But because I placed my order on May 20th, I get to decide first. And I did push through with the deal.
