Default Make seat go back

Once you start the car and/or fasten your seatbelt the seat and steering wheel move into your set position right? What if you want to get out of your car with the engine running? Is there a way to make the seat and steering wheel move out of the way? Opening the door or unfastening the seatbelt don't do anything, it's kinda hard to get out .

You could always use one of the 3 programmable settings with a seat back position. With the car on, there is no other way.

That's a good idea, thanks!

That's what I did. Seat position 3 is an "exit while running" / "relaxing in car line at my daughter's school" setting.

Mine is doing this also. I will have the dealer look at it and see if they can resolve it. Good post.

So ironic that you guys are trying to find ways to make the seat/steering wheel move automatically to get out the car and I nearly walked away from the deal because I was worried there was no way to fully disactivate that feature!! THANK GOD it was doable in techstream

It is interesting having the Vette now. It has two memory seat settings and an "exit" setting. So, functionally there are three, just, one of them is special. Anyway, I can press the exit button at any time to have the seat moved to exit position. So yeah, using seat number three as your "exit" position could yield similar results. I definitely had three settings in my IS 500 - close (for spirited driving), medium (for casual driving), and far (for if I was going to have someone else drive the car, like my wife, who prefers to sit farther back). I can kinda do the same thing with this car, but thankfully each key has its own memory settings anyway, so I don't have to bother with having a setting reserved for the other key. Fun times...
